Jethro’s Community Outreach, Inc. is a Christian nonprofit organization dedicated to serving individuals and families in need of community throughout Valdese, Burke County, and surrounding areas. Guided by Biblical principles of compassion, dignity, and love, we work to reflect Christ’s call to care for the vulnerable and uplift those facing hardship.
Our mission is to provide practical support, spiritual encouragement, and meaningful connections to resources that help individuals move toward stability, hope, and a better future.

Weekly Outreach
The Well
The Well at Jethro's was established in response to the critical requirement for accessible clean drinking water among unsheltered individuals in our community, particularly during the summer months. Through the generous contributions of our donors, we successfully secured the necessary funding to install a permanent water fountain outside our facility, thereby ensuring a sustainable source of hydration for those in need.
Open Table
The Open Table at Jethro's was established in collaboration with the Western Piedmont Council of Governments with the objective of creating a secure environment for individuals experiencing homelessness or housing instability. This initiative aims to facilitate access to essential services, including housing assistance, mental health support, substance abuse resources, aging services, and food provisions, while offering participants a complimentary lunch. It is important to note that this initiative does not serve as traditional case management; rather, it functions as a vital liaison to relevant services for individuals in need.
Still Waters
Still Waters at Jethro's is a support group established in collaboration with local partners to assist individuals confronting various forms of addiction in their lives. The program employs the Life Recovery framework, which is a 12-step, Bible-based approach designed to facilitate healing and personal growth.
